Abstract: Group discussion with panorama images in mixed reality [DE]
Till Davin, Group discussion with panorama images in mixed reality, Hochschule Düsseldorf, Bachelor thesis, 5.4.2018.
The present thesis aims to develop a system for facilitating a group discussion in mixed reality. The suitability of mixed reality for communication and interaction in a group will be evaluated. At the beginning of this study the theoretical principles of mixed reality and panoramic images necessary for the implementation of the system are presented. Then the application scenario for the system and an existing application which this work is based on are described. This is followed by an in-depth look at the implementation and functionality of the created system. The components built in this work allow a group discussion with panoramas in mixed reality. To evaluate the system, a user test is set up and evaluated. Finally, the applicability of the system and further development possibilities are considered.
